Little League picture day always brings out the best in players. (Photos by JohnsPhotos.net)

Give a little to get a lot.

When ever-wanderin’ photographer to the stars John Fisken snaps team pics, he always takes a couple of goofy ones in return for (hopefully) getting a straight one.

The glossy snaps seen above and below capture some of the many players who have suited up for Central Whidbey Little League softball and baseball teams this season.

It’s a two-for-one deal.

Both of Coupeville High School’s varsity basketball teams rolled to big wins Tuesday, and wanderin’ paparazzi John Fisken was camped out in the gym to capture photographic proof.

The pics above and below are courtesy him, but rest assured, he shot much, much more than these eight glossy images.

To see all the images he captured, and consider some early Christmas presents for the relatives, pop over to:

The Falcons on Coupeville Sports?????

It’s true, we’re crossing Island lines for a day, highlighting South Whidbey High School basketball, thanks to the camera work of ever-wanderin’ photo whiz kid John Fisken.

His pics showcase the Falcons as they face off with Eastside Prep in a Saturday doubleheader.

I can tell you the SWHS girls won 50-16, raising their record to 1-2 on the season, while the S-Dub boys fell 76-53 to go to 0-2.

Want more than that? Convince the local newspapers which cover that region to get on their game.

Or, convince your parents to let you transfer to Coupeville — just imagine how much coverage you’d get then.

Just sayin’.

Till then, in the spirit of an olive branch in the eternal battle of the Whidbey version of the Hatfields and the McCoys, some photo glossiness as the weekend fades.

To see everything Fisken shot, and possibly purchase some glossies for the grandparents, pop over to:

Kassidy Upchurch leads off a collection of Wolf JV basketball pics. (Photos by JohnsPhotos.net)

We’re giving them a little extra love and hype.

The Coupeville High School JV girls basketball squad is working just as hard as the other three Wolf hoops teams.

But they’re still going to play a lot less games, as only two of the other six schools in the Northwest 2B/1B League are fielding girls JV programs this school year.

While Coupeville’s varsity teams are scheduled to play 12 games apiece, and the Wolf JV boys have a 10-game set (no Concrete), the JV girls get four tilts.

They played two of those in the first week of the season, losing to Orcas Island, then clobbering Friday Harbor.

Now, they don’t get a game again until June 5 and 8, sitting out while their varsity counterparts play five times.

While they, and us, wait for those contests, here’s a look at some of the young Wolves.

The sound of hoops echoes across the prairie.

High school basketball was in full action Thursday, with Coupeville hosting Orcas Island for four furious rumbles.

The pics above and below come to us from always-thirsty photo guy John Fisken, and document the happenings at the boys varsity and JV games.
