I’d say about 12% of the fans at any high school basketball game are actually dialed in and watching the game with full attention.

Other than those die-hards, it’s all about hopping around, seeing and being seen and finding ways to amuse yourself.

Of course, games also offer the chance for family and friends to come out and support the players.

In the pics above, travelin’ photo man John Fisken has captured a bit of everything, from the families to the support crew to the folks just looking to amuse themselves.

Put the photos above together and they create a mosaic of Wolf Nation, in all its diverse glory.

It’s good to be Ryan Griggs.

Track and field returned Thursday after a two-week hiatus, and the Coupeville High School sophomore was the lone Wolf to win twice at a three-team meet in Duvall.

Griggs set a PR in the high jump, while running the opening leg on a 4 x 100 relay unit that blew the field away. Following in his quicksilver foot steps were Brandon Kelley, Jared Helmstadter and Lathom Kelley.

On the girls side of action, sophomores Makana Stone (100) and Sylvia Hurlburt (200) captured wins for Coupeville.

In the team race, the always-thin Wolves, repping the smallest 1A school in all the land, finished third behind 2A biggies Lakewood and Cedarcrest.
