Middle school mania is on the horizon.
Coupeville 6th, 7th, and 8th graders kick off fall sports with the arrival of September, with cross country starting practice on the first day of the month and volleyball getting underway on the 9th.
The Wolf harriers, who run four of their eight meets on Whidbey — two at Camp Casey, two in Langley — are coached by Amber Wyman, who returns full of enthusiasm.
For the spikers, the hunt for coaches is ongoing and this is your moment to seize the spotlight.
