It was a two-for-one special on the soccer pitch.

Tuesday night brought Senior Night festivities to Coupeville’s Mickey Clark Field, with male and female booters both honored.

Nine Wolves — five girls and four boys — were celebrated, with both CHS squads also winning games against visiting La Conner.

Nine Wolf boys and two girls have scored in Coupeville High School soccer games this fall, up from a total of seven booters last time we compiled season scoring stats.

There’s still plenty of games to play, as well, so our numbers could continue to soar.

The guys have seven regular season rumbles left on the schedule, while their female counterparts have either five or six, depending on whether a postponed clash with Sultan is rescheduled.
