We’re (slightly) in limbo.

The Coupeville High School basketball squads are off until this weekend, when they play back-to-back games Friday and Saturday.

The first of those is at home against Darrington, the second on the road at Orcas Island.

While the Wolves work in practice, and their fans wait for games, some pics to help pass the time.

It’s pink portraits on parade.

Jumping back to earlier in the week, when the Coupeville High School volleyball teams held Dig Pink Night to aid in the fight against breast cancer, I still have some more photos to get out.

They’re shot by John Fisken, and, if you want to see more of his work, pop over to:

Time to drop some spikes.

The Coupeville High School volleyball teams kick-start new seasons Thursday with a trip to Concrete, followed by three-straight matches at home.

As they fine-tune their sets and sharpen their service games, the Wolves also found a few moments to pose for wanderin’ photographer John Fisken.

Some of what he shot can be seen above and below, but, for the full collection, you’ll have to hang around for the entire season.

The action was hoppin’, and the camera was clickin’.

The Coupeville High School girls basketball teams invaded Langley Friday, rolling to a varsity win while dropping a razor-thin decision in the JV game.

Also making the trip down Island was wanderin’ paparazzi John Fisken, who left his Oak Harbor home behind for a night of hoops.

The pics above are courtesy him, but are just a smidge of what he snapped.

It don’t mean a thing without that dribble.

The sound of basketballs thunking against a gym floor signals the start of the winter sports season, and it draws out the camera clickers.

The pics above, snapped by John Fisken, showcase some of the Coupeville High School hoops stars hard at work on day two of practice for a new season.
