The spikes were flying, the celebrations were rockin’, and the cameras were clicking from all angles.

Coupeville High School’s volleyball squads hosted their home opener Tuesday, the first time a Wolf team played indoors against a rival since the pandemic first broke more than a year ago.

Football returned, in a hail of camera clicks.

Back on the gridiron for the first time in 17 months, Coupeville High School delivered a nail-biting 6-0 overtime win over visiting La Conner Saturday night.

Along for the ride was wanderin’ photo whiz kid John Fisken, who delivers the pics above and below.

It was the big show and a swan song all rolled into one.

Coupeville High School track and field hosted the season-ending Northwest 2B/1B League Championships Saturday, and the event doubled as a Senior Night and a photo extravaganza.
