Run like the wind, two times.

First, if you aren’t registered yet for Race the Reserve, the clock is running out on you.

The annual shindig — which features a marathon, half marathon, marathon relay, 10K and 5K — is just a week away, with the starter’s pistol set to fire next Saturday, Aug. 12.

If you register online or in person the day of the event, you can use a credit card, cash or check. Registration by mail has closed.

Once you hit that starter’s line, ready to rumble, weather conditions are looking strong. Forecasts call for a high of 72 degrees that day, with a mild wind and some clouds.

As you run through Ebey’s Landing National Historic Reserve, you’ll be treated to views of Mt. Rainier, Mt. Baker, the Olympics and the Straight of Juan de Fuca.

Money raised goes to fund graduation night events for the Coupeville High School Class of 2018.

Deb Smith is the driving force behind this year’s event, with Beth Stout, Lisa Toomey, Jennifer Wynn, Dawn Hesselgrave, Connie Lippo, Kali Barrio, Elizabeth Bitting and Deb Savalza all playing key roles.

The race is on.

With the clock ticking, and just 46 days left until the year’s biggest running event, Race the Reserve, things are at a fever pitch.

The shindig, which features five segments — a marathon, half marathon, marathon relay, 10K and 5K — is set for Saturday, Aug. 12.

Whichever event you choose, you’ll be front and center at one of the most beautiful race sites in the biz, as you run through the Ebey’s Landing National Historic Reserve on Whidbey Island.

To keep your mind off the miles ahead, you’ll be treated to views of Mt. Rainier, Mt. Baker, the Olympics and the Straight of Juan de Fuca as you run.

With the money raised benefiting the Coupeville High School Class of 2018, organizers are plowing through all the preparations and runners (if they’re smart) are in training.

The biggest race of the year just got bigger.

The annual Race the Reserve, which brings tons of runners to Central Whidbey and raises funds for that year’s graduating class at Coupeville High School, is entering new territory.

After previously offering a 5K, 10K and half marathon, the event is taking a huge leap forward and adding a full marathon and a marathon relay in 2017.

While full details are still in the works, Deb Smith, the driving force behind the ’17 race, which is set for Aug. 12, is already positively giddy.

“It’s gonna be incredible!!,” she gushed, before departing to take one of her football-playing sons to the hospital for a concussion check-up.

Registration is already open and you can nab an early bird discount if you get your paperwork out of the way before Dec. 31.

To register, to find out more about Race the Reserve, or to keep an eye on news of the marathon and marathon relay, your place to camp out is:

They came, they saw, they ran the heck out of the course.

Coupeville High School’s annual Race the Reserve drew in 275 runners (and one wildly-snapping paparazzi) Saturday, helping raise bucks to fund graduation night festivities for the Class of 2017.

Wolf alum Andre Stone zipped to a win in the 5K, crossing the finish line in 17 minutes, 5.06 seconds, while Singh Navdeep (45:32.5) and Ryan Prachnau (1:19:56.3) took home titles in the 10K and half marathon respectively.

Along for the run, camera in hand, was intrepid clicker John Fisken, who was nice enough to provide us with the photos above.

Well, sleeping in was apparently not an option.

With another Ragnar Relay Series run barreling right past my front porch, bringing with it early morning whooping and yelling the likes of which haven’t been heard since a Pokemon Go-addled idiot ran across an interstate highway in pursuit of Mewtwo, I’m up.

So, I’ll use my time well, which basically means poaching pics from Sylvia Hurlburt.

It’s kind of our thing.

So, thanks to the ever-industrious Miss Hurlburt, I present a smattering of Ragnar pics for your perusal.

Now, to the rest of you, shut up and get off my lawn.

But maybe don’t go play in traffic like the Pokezombies.
