Work on your spikes and sets and help build volleyball in Coupeville.

CHS/CMS coaching staff are offering two skills camps in early June, and if you register by May 20, you can guarantee yourself a camp t-shirt.

One camp is for grades K-6, the other for 7-12, and all the pertinent info can be found in the photo below.

Coupeville hoopsters ages 8-12 can take part in a high-level basketball skills camp this summer.

NBC Camps is returning to the CHS gym July 16-18, which each day running from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM.

Cost is $250, and players will be grouped by age, skill level, and experience.

NBC Basketball focuses on “total skill development emphasizing training the total athlete” and camps “combine Christian values with cutting-edge research on talent development, building confidence, and the importance of commitment.”

Back, by popular request.

Wolf hoops legend Makana Stone, enjoying a summer vacation back in Coupeville, is spending part of her time passing on hardwood wisdom.

She and fellow pro basketball player Jaron Kirkley put on a three-day camp in the CHS gym last week for elementary school children.

Now, this weekend, as the Arts and Crafts Festival and Race the Reserve also invaded Cow Town, Stone, who has been playing overseas, spent time working with middle and high school players.

The former Wolf ace will return to Norway for another season of nailing jumpers, but for now, she’s at home in the same gym she once lit up as a teenager.

The circle of life plays out, one defensive drill at a time.

The love of the game is already in place.

A pack of future Wolf volleyball stars flooded the Coupeville High School gym for a recent skills camp put on by CHS coaches and players.

The young guns, who hail from K-6, are just learning the finer points of the sport, but already showing the enthusiasm and thirst for knowledge which produces winners.

Plus, the lil’ spikers are getting used to having Wolf Moms snap pics as they play, preparing them for the spotlights of tomorrow.

Tomorrow’s stars already own the gym.

Coupeville High School volleyball coaches and players kicked off a series of skills camps, and first up was the K-6 group, as seen in the pics above and below.

They’re coming for all your titles. All of them, I said.
