Paint it black (and red)

They’re claiming their territory.

With the first day of school fast approaching, some Coupeville seniors were out and about Thursday night, painting their parking spots in the CHS lot.

An annual tradition, the application of a roller brush to school asphalt is the surest sign fall is around the corner.

A tale as old as time, yet as fresh as a new coat of paint.

Plenty of things rained down Tuesday afternoon on the prairie. Just no actual rain.

There were tons o’ runs, a big softball win, enough sunshine for everyone, and glossy pics by the dozens.

Wolf cheer explodes into winter

Two squads, three or four times the cheering.

With Coupeville High School cheerleaders moving inside for the winter, the Wolves actually have two different teams, with a fair amount of the athletes appearing on both rosters.

Though, regardless of whether they’re on the sideline squad, or the competition squad, or both teams, it’s a given that each Wolf will bring more energy than any rivals they’ll meet.

As CHS coaches Jennifer Morrell and Tara Crouch juggle preparing their cheerleaders for basketball game work, as well as flying high on the blue competition mats, a look at who’s who.
