The spirit lives in them.

Coupeville High School cheerleaders have been at the forefront this season, bringing the pep and the energy to everything Wolf athletics does.

As CHS preps for its Homecoming football game — this Friday 6 PM — here are portraits of some of the young women who comprise the region’s #1 cheer squad.

Nine out of 11 ain’t bad.

We’re kicking off a new week with a photographic look at Coupeville High School coaches, though we’re missing two.

That’s because I already used soccer guru Kyle Nelson’s pic earlier this season.

And, for whatever reason, I’ve never seen head shots for this year’s Wolf cross country squad, which rules out trail queen Paige Spangler.

At least for now.

But the other nine coaches, covering volleyball, cheer, football, and boys soccer, are here, and awaiting — in alphabetic order — your perusal.

The pics above and below come to us courtesy John Fisken, whose work can be seen (and bought) at https://www.johnsphotos.net/.

We’re officially underway.

Monday brought the first practices for Coupeville High School soccer, volleyball, cross country, and tennis, while football chugged along towards the one-week mark.

Wandering down from the wilds of Oak Harbor, canny camera clicker John Fisken snapped the first shots from a new school athletic year, capturing four of six Wolf teams hard at work.
