The games are back, and so are the fans.

Coupeville High School kicked off a new year of athletics with a big home football win Friday, and John Fisken wandered by for a few moments to capture the snaps seen above and below.

To peruse his action pics from the early part of the Wolves 51-6 dismantling of visiting Annie Wright, pop over to:

Scrub a dub dub, make it spic and span.

Showing off their community spirit and appreciation for US Navy history, a group came together Friday at Oak Harbor’s Gateway Park.

The mission was to clean the A-6 Intruder and EA-6B planes which welcome visitors to the island, while also getting rid of pesky weeds at the intersection of SR20 and Ault Field.

The group included NAS Whidbey Island sailors, Pacific Northwest Naval Air Museum volunteers, City of Oak Harbor workers, and Intruder Association members.

Back from his summer RV trip across America, camera clicker John Fisken, himself a Navy alumnus, swung by to snap the pics seen above and below.

That other high school up North graduates. (Photos by JohnsPhotos.net)

We’re venturing into enemy territory here … sort of.

The name of the blog is still Coupeville Sports, but technically, I am a graduate of Oak Harbor High School, and most of all, I rarely say no to free photos.

So, here you go on an otherwise quiet Saturday night — some fresh pics of the OHHS Class of 2024 getting diplomas, courtesy John Fisken.

Another graduation is in the books.

The students in the Coupeville High School Class of 2024 are alumni now, having received their diplomas under sunny skies Saturday.

As the latest batch of Wolf grads move on, gaze back (a few hours) thanks to photos from John Fisken.

Aleksia Jump charges into action. (Photos by JohnsPhotos.net)

One day from departure.

The Coupeville High School track and field program sends 18 athletes to Yakima Thursday, where the 2B state championships await.

The season concludes in a three-day whirl of competition, with most of the activity set for Friday and Saturday, most likely under warmer temps than we currently have on Whidbey.

As the Wolves count down the hours until they leave town, here’s a look back at action from the bi-district meet in Coupeville.
