Register now for Junior Cheer

Registration for Coupeville Junior Cheer, aimed at students in K-5, is open now.

And your window is a narrow one, closing at 11 PM on September 9, or earlier if the student count hits 100.

Cost is $70 per cheerleader, or $60 for yell leader positions for boys, with all money going to help fund scholarships awarded by the Spirit of Cheer Booster Club to graduating CHS seniors.

Each junior cheerleader will get a sweatshirt and a new set of pre-fluffed pink poms in honor of breast cancer awareness month, while the yell leaders snag a sweatshirt and megaphone.

Practices will be held on Thursdays beginning September 10, with a halftime performance during Coupeville’s home game against Friday Harbor October 2.

Wolf cheer hosts pancake fundraiser

Eat some flapjacks, help a cheerleader.

Wolf spirit leaders will be out in force Sunday at Applebee’s in Oak Harbor, as the Spirit of Cheer Booster Club presents a breakfast-fueled fundraiser.

Cost is $15 and tickets can be bought from a CHS cheerleader or in person on the day of the event.

Celebrate 125 years of CHS in style

It’s a piece of clothing so special, it’s been 125 years in the making.

With Coupeville High School set to hit a major milestone when the calendar flips to 2025, the Spirit of Cheer Booster Club is hard at work to promote it.

They’ve produced an exclusive black-on-black hoodie which celebrates the upcoming 125th anniversary of CHS, with plans to have a long sleeve t-shirt ready for basketball season.

The hoodie sells for $45, with the money going to help the booster club award scholarships to graduating seniors headed to college or trade school.

You can buy one at home football games — the Wolves host South Whidbey Oct. 11 and Winlock Oct. 25.

The SOC is sharing space with the Coupeville Booster Club, and their table is right in front of the bleachers.

Cheerleader car wash set for Saturday

Want to bring the sparkle and shine back into your life?

Swing by Ebey Academy this Saturday, Sept. 28 between 10:00 AM-2:00 PM, and let the Coupeville High School cheerleaders wash your ride.

The car wash fundraiser will help the Spirit of Cheer Booster Club purchase safety equipment and spirit gear, as well as provide scholarships.

Suggested donation is $15 for a full car wash, and Ebey Academy is located at 140 SE Terry Rd.
