Buy gear, support Wolf cheer

Get some Christmas shopping done and support Coupeville High School cheer — all from the comfort of your home.

With basketball (and flu) season underway, the Wolves are running a team fundraiser, selling Coupeville gear through Fan Cloth.

The campaign runs through next weekend.

With all the various seasonal maladies running wild, Wolf cheerleaders haven’t been able to be out and about in the community as much as they might like.

“Our whole cheer team has pretty much been down with this crud that is going around and hasn’t been able to get out there and sell,” said CHS assistant cheer coach Tara Crouch.

“But there are some new items added, so if you’re looking for Wolf gear or just want to support our cheerleaders, we’d appreciate your order!”

Pancake fever rocks Wolf Nation

You can eat good in the neighborhood and help Coupeville High School seniors at the same time.

The CHS Class of 2023 is holding a pancake breakfast Saturday, Dec. 10 at Applebee’s in Oak Harbor, with proceeds going towards a drug and alcohol-free graduation night celebration.

The event runs from 9-11 AM and tickets are $10.

It’s suds ‘n spirit

Dirty cars help make the wheels on the bus go round and round.

Coupeville High School cheerleaders were out and about Saturday, conducting a car wash fundraiser, with the money raised going to help fund a bus to carry the team to road games.

We can’t vouch for how clean photographer John Fisken’s own ride may be, but the wandering cameraman did stop off and snap the pics seen above and below.

Eat for a good cause!

The community dinner is back.

For the first time since the pandemic threw a wrench into things, the Coupeville Connected Food Program is holding a fundraiser full of tasty treats.

Chef Andreas Wurzrainer and his staff will tickle the tastebuds Oct. 5.

The event, which goes down in the Coupeville High School cafeteria (501 S. Main St.), runs from 5:30-6:30 PM.

Suggested donation is $6 per person or $25 for a family.

“We are super excited to have an anonymous donor who will be matching any donations,” Wurzrainer said.

“All donations will be used exclusively to buy locally,” he added.

“To continue our strong relationships with local farmers and vendors and continue our mission of locally sourced scratch cooked school lunches.”

The menu includes pasta with meatballs from 3 Sisters Family Farms and marinara from tomatoes grown by the school farm.

There will also be prairie farm salad, kale salad with apples and cranberries, and a DaSilva Farms blueberry cupcake.
