A hazy shade of basketball

Scorch the nets, snap the pics.

The Coupeville High School girls basketball squads battled with visiting Forks Saturday, presenting two action-packed games in two gyms.

Along the way, photo whiz kid John Fisken captured the images seen above and below.

Bringin’ on the buckets

Action was fast and furious, but the camera was quicker.

Fueled by the Diet Coke someone bought him, wanderin’ photographer John Fisken bounced between gyms Saturday, capturing both of Coupeville High School’s boys basketball teams in action against Forks.

They’ve gone inside, but are still using their outdoor voices.

Coupeville High School cheerleaders have remained vocally strong as basketball season begins, providing more than their share of spirit and support.

Hoops hotshots get a close-up

It was a strong debut.

Holding off an opponent from a bigger school, the Coupeville High School varsity girls basketball squad opened its season Wednesday with a big win over Granite Falls.

While the Wolf JV came up short on the scoreboard in its tilt, the second team played strongly as well.

Loud crowd, so proud

They were loud, and they were proud.

The joint was packed Wednesday, as Coupeville High School’s basketball teams celebrated opening night with a pair of varsity wins.

The Wolf girls toppled Granite Falls, while the CHS boys whacked Oak Harbor, sending Coupeville fans home happy.
