Camden Glover gazes at the world with wide open eyes. (Jackie Saia photo)

The eyes are windows to the soul and all that jazz.

The pics above and below, snapped by a variety of photographers, mostly focus on peepers, whether flared, curious, or partially hidden in the dark.

Is it a trend, or am I playing fast and loose, looking for a way to slap together a random series of snapshots to form an article?

That’s in the eye of the beholder.

Birthday boy Bobby Carr leads off a collection of CHS coach pics. (Photos by JohnsPhotos.net)

Nine out of 11 ain’t bad.

We’re kicking off a new week with a photographic look at Coupeville High School coaches, though we’re missing two.

That’s because I already used soccer guru Kyle Nelson’s pic earlier this season.

And, for whatever reason, I’ve never seen head shots for this year’s Wolf cross country squad, which rules out trail queen Paige Spangler.

At least for now.

But the other nine coaches, covering volleyball, cheer, football, and boys soccer, are here, and awaiting — in alphabetic order — your perusal.

Wolf fab frosh Lyla Stuurmans leads off our final collection of Coupeville fall sports portraits. (Photos by JohnsPhotos.net)

We hit the finish line.

Not of the fall sports season, as there are plenty of games left to go.

But this is the final collection of portraits shot by John Fisken.

I still have seven left — four middle school volleyball players, as well as two high school soccer players and a volleyball ace — and will use those with other stories before we wrap up the season.

Otherwise, the focus will be on action shots, of which I have many, as we wind our way through Oct.

Ava Mitten leads off a collection of Coupeville fall sports portraits. (Photos by JohnsPhotos.net)

Is there no end to the deluge of portraits?

There might be, but we’re not there yet.

Fall sports brought out a lot of Wolves to play, and wanderin’ photographer John Fisken snapped pics of most of them.

Today, we add another eight to the collection.
