The event will be held in the school’s performing arts center and kicks off at 6:00 PM.

While this pack of Wolves are changing their schooling status, several of them have already made their debuts as high school athletes, playing basketball, softball, and baseball for CHS while still attending school at CMS.

Joy was the word of the day.

As the members of the Coupeville High School Class of 2024 received diplomas Saturday and bid farewell to their prairie school days, a trio of photographers captured the moment on film.

There was accomplishment, pride, and, most of all, joy.

Another graduation is in the books.

The students in the Coupeville High School Class of 2024 are alumni now, having received their diplomas under sunny skies Saturday.

As the latest batch of Wolf grads move on, gaze back (a few hours) thanks to photos from John Fisken.

When the Helm women come to town, all your medals are leaving with them.

Plundering most of the gold in Salem, Oregon Saturday, Lindsey and Finley Helm scored big at the Northwest District Taekwondo Championships.

Lindsey, a teacher at Coupeville Elementary, laid down a whuppin’, claiming titles in five of six events.

The mother of three earned first in weapons, sparring, creative weapons, combat sparring, and extreme weapons, plus a second in traditional forms.

Meanwhile daughter Finley, coming off a successful track and field season at Coupeville Middle School, earned third place in combat sparring.

The Northwest District consists of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and the four lower provinces of Canada.

Coupeville is making a mark in the volleyball world.

Three Wolf spikers have made it through the initial round of regional tryouts as they pursue spots with the USA Volleyball (Puget Sound Region) All-Stars.

Now, seniors-to-be Mia Farris and Lyla Stuurmans and incoming freshman Tenley Stuurmans are among the final 40 players vying for 12 slots with U19 and U15 squads, respectively.

“They have a rigorous camp ahead of them, and a really great opportunity to get additional training and experience,” said Coupeville High School coach Cory Whitmore.

The older duo attend camp this weekend, June 8-9, while their younger teammate gets her shot June 15-16.

After those camps, the 12 players selected to the team will go to Des Moines, Iowa for All-Star Championships, where they’ll go spike to spike with players from across the country.

Whether they make the final squad or not, Whitmore is thrilled to see his players step up and take on new, big-time challenges.

“All three are very self-driven and made the decision to go for it all on their own, and I’m so proud of them for pursuing this opportunity to grow their game,” he said.

“It really showcases their passion for the sport and a determination to improve.

“I’m looking forward to hearing all about it!”
