The Coupeville Middle School boys’ basketball teams finished their eight-game seasons Monday, sweeping visiting South Whidbey across three games.

If it’s burnin’, John Fisken is yearnin’ … to take some photos.

Battling the heat with some frosty Diet Coke breaks, the intrepid paparazzi was on scene Saturday as the Oak Harbor Fire Department held a training exercise.

The fire in question, which also featured work from North Whidbey Fire and Rescue, consumed an abandoned house off Scenic Heights Rd.

Coupeville High School volleyball fans filled the gym Thursday night to watch the Wolves swat La Conner in Bi-District playoff action, running their record to a pristine 15-0.

From this point on, the rest of the matches will be on the road, but they’ll always have the photos, some of which can be seen above and below.
