Fan-tastic.

With both varsity Coupeville High School basketball teams posting winning records this season — including the Wolf boys being a flawless 11-0 — the stands have been packed.

Even living in the Age of Coronavirus, with mask requirements in place, locals and off-Islanders alike have shown up for games.

When he’s not clicking action pics, wanderin’ photographer John Fisken often swings his camera towards the stands, as you can see in the photos above and below.

It’s the other action.

While basketball games play out on the court, wanderin’ photographer John Fisken also snaps life in the stands, as seen in the pics above and below.

Survive the bleachers, get your photo snapped.

The seats in the Coupeville High School gym are notoriously hard — or at least that’s what my tender derrière has to say on the matter.

That being said, Wolf fans still show up, and wanderin’ photo clicker John Fisken is likely to snap pics of them when they do, as shown in the images above and below.

They were loud, and they were proud.

The joint was packed Wednesday, as Coupeville High School’s basketball teams celebrated opening night with a pair of varsity wins.

The Wolf girls toppled Granite Falls, while the CHS boys whacked Oak Harbor, sending Coupeville fans home happy.

The pics above and below, which come to us courtesy John Fisken, capture Wolf fans, and cheerleaders, hard at work bringing the noise, and the funk.

It was the calm before the storm.

With their own trip to the district tourney a day away, several Coupeville High School volleyball players made an appearance at Oak Harbor’s match Tuesday night.

While the Wildcats fell in straight sets to visiting Ferndale, the atmosphere and excitement should help prep the Wolves for their own adventure.

On to La Conner!

On to play Auburn Adventist Academy at 5 PM Wednesday, where a win sends CHS into a 7:30 tilt against the host Braves, with a trip to state at stake.
