“Let there be … FIRE!” (Photos by JohnsPhotos.net)

Burn, baby, burn.

And click, baby, click.

The Oak Harbor Fire Department was in full-on training mode Saturday, razing a building over by the North Whidbey Help House, and wanderin’ photo clicker John Fisken was along for the soot-stained ride.

The pics above and below are courtesy him but are just the beginning of what he shot.

Whether they were humming Elton John’s song or not, a pack of roller derby queens went toe-to-toe (and wheel-to-wheel) this weekend, tearing up the floor at the Oak Harbor High School gym.

Cheerleaders lead the charge.

Full of school spirit, Wolf sideline warriors have been at the forefront of generating the wall of positive noise exploding out of Coupeville’s gyms at this week’s playoff games.

The joint was jumpin’.

Friday night’s boys’ basketball playoff thriller between Coupeville and La Conner played out in front of a standing room only crowd at the CHS gym.

In between sips of Diet Coke, wanderin’ paparazzi John Fisken captured a wide range of Wolf athletes, fans, and school employees as they created a wall of noise.

Look closely, and you can hear the pictures.
