Skyy Lippo, soon to be seen dancing the lead role in the ballet she’s reppin’ on her sweatshirt.

Ja’Kenya Hoskins just wants to eat her popcorn and check her updates, but the paparazzi is always gettin’ up in her face.

CHS volleyball stars (l to r) Emma Smith, Lucy Sandahl and Ashley Menges swing by to see if the gym still looks the same.

Softball sensation Tamika Nastali lays down some sweet air guitar riffs.

There’s the game, and then there’s the universe around the game.

On the court, basketball plays out. Meanwhile, around the sides, cheerleaders fly high, band members wail, and fans look for a chance to get their photos snapped.

Wanderin’ camera clicker John Fisken is always a busy bee at games, and he doesn’t disappoint, delivering a mix of off-court pics for your light Saturday reading enjoyment.

The venue may be changing, but the attitude is not.

As Coupeville High School cheerleaders depart the football field and head inside for basketball season, one thing will remain consistent — their larger-than-life school spirit.

Wolf coaches Emily Stevens and Amanda Jones are currently working with a roster which goes 12 deep, though that may change.

For the moment, this is who looks like they will be in uniform for Coupeville when hoops action tips off at the end of the month:

Before every new high school sports season begins, photo day is a time-honored ritual.

John Fisken hoists his camera and madly clicks away, getting a pic of every girl and boy who will be in uniform for the Wolves — or at least every one who remembers to show up for photo day.

Then he’s nice enough to send them my way.

As the season progresses, I sprinkle those portraits across the top of numerous stories.

But, without fail, especially during a busy season like fall, with volleyball, tennis, soccer, cheer and football, there will be some which haven’t seen the light of day.

Hester hangs out.

Through good weather and bad, through wins and losses, they bring the noise and the funk.

The Coupeville High School fall cheer squad is the best in the biz, and Friday night they honored six of their own on Senior Night.

Wanderin’ photo whiz kid John Fisken was on the sidelines clicking away and captured the pics above for us.
