Former CHS coach Craig Pedlar returned Friday for the 101st anniversary of Wolf boys basketball. (Photos by JohnsPhotos.net)

Sherry Roberts, a basketball star of the late ’80s, hangs out with the next big thing in Wolf Nation, son Landon.

It ain’t a thing without that swing.

Speedy shutterbug Maya Toomey-Stout snaps away as the action unfolds a few inches away.

Jordan Ford 1, Sherry Roberts 0. Rest assured, payback will be swift and deadly.

A superstar in every seat, as the living legends return to their alma mater to be honored.

Wolf mom Kali Barrio and daughter Jennifer Bergeron cheer on their favorite hoops star, son/brother Ethan Spark.

Young gun Daniel Olson takes the sticks, as drumming veterans Sean Toomey-Stout (left) and Ben Olson prepare to give him grief (or a Wet Willie).

You can go home again.

Coupeville High School celebrated the 101st anniversary of its boys basketball program Friday, and there was a legend in every seat.

The superstars of the ’70s crossed paths with guys who want to match their achievements in the coming years, and fans of every age showed up to watch it all go down.

Travelin’ photo man John Fisken was there as well, though he was working, snapping pics all night long.

The mix of glossy images above are courtesy him.

To view more photos of the former Wolf players and coaches in attendance, some of which have already run here on Coupeville Sports, and some of which you may not have seen, pop over to:

Home from college, Bree Daigneault (back) hangs out with/attacks lil’ sis Noelle. (Photos by JohnsPhotos.net)

Wolves (l to r) William Nelson (soccer), Nick Etzell (baseball) and Aram Leyva (soccer) rest up before the start of spring sports.

Home for the holidays, former Wolf hoops stars Tiffany Briscoe (left) and Kailey Kellner spend some quality time together.

In between performing with the band, Wolf softball slugger Mackenzie Davis catches up on her reading.

Sean Toomey-Stout is a heat-seeking missile on the football field and a wizard on the skins.

International superstar McKayla Bailey pops by to check on the parental units.

The CHS/CMS band is keeping the season festive.

CHS spikers (l to r) Hope Lodell, Lucy Sandahl and Emma Smith cheer on their classmates.

The best-dressed band in the biz.

Tis the time of the season for reunions.

With the holidays in full swing, a lot of former Wolf sports stars are back home from college, and many of them swung by the gym recently to catch up with family and former teammates.

Letting his camera wander the whole 360-degree field, photog John Fisken captured some of the reunions, plus a mix of band members at work and fans being fans.

The smorgasbord of holiday pics seen above are courtesy him.

Laurence Boado (left) and Jakobi Baumann lay down the sweet funk.

One flute to rule them all.

Middle school horn players join in on the musical movement.

Mckenzie Meyer fires up the sax.

Raven Vick plays us out.

Saturday’s basketball doubleheader at Coupeville High School was noticeable for one thing — the joint was quiet.

The CHS/CMS band took the day off, and that allowed for some dead air, especially during the halftime break.

As we await the return of the horn blowers and drum bashers, a photographic look at some of those who make the gym rock, courtesy wanderin’ photo god John Fisken.

Wolf cheerleaders bring the noise and the funk.

Fast-rising CMS hoops stars Ja’Kenya Hoskins (left) and Izzy Wells visit the gym they will one day rule.

CHS band instructor Jamar Jenkins makes sure they spelled his name correctly.

Wolf legend CJ Smith spends some quality time with mom Charlotte.

One row, four Wolf superstars. L to r, it’s Payton Aparicio, Sage Renninger, Natalie Hollrigel and Mallory Kortuem.

Sherry Roberts (left) and Sylvia Arnold share a chuckle … while discussing their plot to take over the world.

“Put me in, coach!”

An injury has kept Heidi Meyers off the basketball court, but nothing can slow her roll when she’s got a tune to share with the world.

“The Gazelle” at rest. Fleet-footed Maya Toomey-Stout slows down long enough to turn her camera on her fellow athletes.

Glossy pics as far as the eye can see.

Whenever John Fisken swings by Coupeville to shoot sporting events, he always tries to capture the full circus.

So, along with action shots of whatever game is playing out, he also is quick to nab band members, cheerleaders, fans and the like as they go about their business.

Thanks to his lightning-quick camera(s), we have a new batch of behind-the-scenes photos, which appear above courtesy him.

If you like what you see, pop over to Fisken’s site and take a gander at the other three billion photos he has stashed there.

And remember, purchases help fund college scholarships for CHS senior student/athletes.

Lauren Bayne is barely intrigued. “Seriously, you’re that bored, you put together an entire photo essay around the letter B?!” (Photos by JohnsPhotos.net)

“Well, I’m a bouncin’ baby boy, so I’ll play along!”

Nikolai Lyngra keeps the beat going, boppin’ with the CHS band.

He’s no beatnik, baby, but Ben Olson can lay down a boomin’ beat with every bash of the drums.

This is bull, thinks burly footballer Chris Battaglia as he realizes he barely studied for tomorrow’s test. Perhaps in biology?

Wolf baby approves of your shenanigans. Begrudgingly…

Jaschon Baumann is just here for the sweet, sweet tunes … and free popcorn.

And then the ultimate Killer B, Miss Mollie Bailey, baller supreme, arrives to win the whole bloomin’ internet.

It’s a school day, so let’s get educational.

Sort of.

Today’s photos have a common theme, as they’re brought to you by the letter B.

They feature Wolves with last names like Bayne, Bailey, Battaglia and Baumann, first names like Ben, band members and a couple of babies, for good measure.

What do you mean, it must be a slow news day?? You’re a slow news day!!

Anyways, on with the B’s, courtesy some A+ photos from John Fisken.

Or, as he’s known in these parts … Johnny B. Goode.
