With Wednesday’s match-up against South Whidbey in the books, the Coupeville High School boys tennis team is officially off and running.

Helping document the start of a new season was John Fisken, who wandered down from the north to pop off some court-side shots.

It was the calm before the storm.

While the sun had departed Saturday afternoon, the lightning and thunder were still hours away when the Coupeville High School girls soccer squad took the pitch to face off with Meridian.

Enjoying the lack of moisture in the air at that moment, wandering’ paparazzi John Fisken worked the sidelines, clicking away, and the photos above are courtesy him.

Fall sports have sprung, in all their photographic glory.

Coupeville High School’s football team kicked off the 2019-2020 school year Friday, hosting Port Townsend, and the event was big enough to convince John Fisken to drive down from the city to the North.

Cameras at the ready, the wanderin’ paparazzi clicked away through the pre-game action and the first half of play.

Wolf cheer brings the fire and excitement

Hoskins was a key part of a Wolf cheer team which claimed 3rd place at state last season.

Whether working the sidelines or the gym, the Coupeville High School cheer squad is among the best in the state, offering equal parts fire and excitement in their routines.

As they sit a day away from pulling their first sideline duty of the fall — CHS football is home Friday vs. Port Townsend — John Fisken offers up a medley of cheertastic pics to get things kicked off.
