It’s a Thursday, and frankly, no one feels like doing much work around here.

So, how convenient that I have all these glossy photos for you to gaze upon.

A little eyeball use, and not much reading.

You’re welcome.

“Man! Are they going to take my picture all the time?!?!” Yes, Lindsey Roberts, superstar daughter of two former CHS Athlete of the Years, the answer is yes.

The next generation of Wolf stars is hard at work.

Coupeville Middle School’s volleyball squads have kicked off action and are getting into the flow of sets, spikes and service aces.

If you want to see players like Lindsey Roberts, Veronica Crownover and Scout Smith before they hit the big gym, head out and catch the young Wolves in action.

Coupeville hosts King’s this Monday, Sept. 29, starting at 3 PM in the CMS gym (across the hallway from the high school gym).

Until then, take a gander at the photos above, captured on film by wanderin’ clicker John Fisken.

The Wolves were home and the joint was hoppin’.

Given a chance to see their volleyball squads in action on their home court for the first time in two weeks Thursday, a strong mix of parents, students and fans jammed into the CHS gym.

Among those cheering on the players were members of the newly-formed Wolf Buddies — Coupeville Elementary School students paired up with Wolf spikers.

Across the way, the student section, still not back to what it once was in years past, at least was partially revived.

Costumes were absent, but, thanks to a kick in the rear from Wolf football players Joel Walstad and Matt Shank, the CHS students in the section were vocal at times.

Will the roar fully return? Only time will tell.

For now, you can bask in a mix of pics from travelin’ photo man John Fisken. The photos capture a mix of on-court and off-court action.

The crowd is wowed by action on the field, but Hailey Hammer (grey hoodie) seems pretty dang sure Jae LeVine (bottom left) is about to create some shenanigans.

Football was not the only game in town.

Yes, Coupeville was thumpin’ Chimacum on the gridiron Friday night, but there was also considerable action happening off the field.

Good thing photo man John Fisken found a bit of time to snap pics of cheerleaders, fans and just about anyone who wandered by his camera.

The photos above are a smidgen of the sights on display.
